Ian and Jenn Stephens are missionaries working with C.H.I.P.S, Children HIV Intervention Programme in Swaziland, to help the orphans and vulnerable children affected by HIV/AIDS pandemic in Swaziland, Africa. Their home base is in Vuvulane and they travel around to various communities testing for HIV, assessing medical needs and treatment options, teaching job skills, providing workshops, and occasionally conducting Crossroads training (character building/positive living/HIV & abstinence). Ian and Jenn's main desire is to share the love of Jesus for each of these precious children while working towards fulfilling the vision of a HIV free Swaziland.

Blankets and Clothes for everyone at Section 19!

We are so thankful for the 35 boxes of clothing from the Simunye church and the 60 wool blankets that Daren and Teresa brought up from a church in South Africa. The clothing and blankets came just in time as we are heading into our winter with very cold temperatures. We've spent several days passing out the items to the people in need.
At Section 19 we drew quite a grateful crowd as we started passing out the blankets and clothing.
While there were a lot of people, thankfully we had enough items to give everyone something! We returned with lots of empty boxes, Praise the Lord!
A Chips client gratefully receives warm blankets that will help him survive the cold winter. It was such a blessing to have all these donated items and to be able to make so many people's lives just a little better.

We just got word that we will be getting 100 more blankets from a church in Mbabane. While we are grateful indeed for these additional blankets, it would take 500 blankets to really be effective with how many Chips patients that we serve. We need to be careful to spread out the donated items so that one person/family doesn't receive more. If you would like to help provide more blankets and warm clothing for those in desperate need you can donate at the link below.
