WALK THE BLOCK

Please help us to raise funds to buy cement blocks to build a new kitchen at Vuvulane Primary School
We know Christmas seems a long way off but we have been making plans this year to do something different for the children of Vuvulane primary school, the majority of the children, come from the settlements that we serve with Bible studies, food, clothing etc.  and are in desperate need for a new kitchen ,so in cooperation with the principal and school board we are planning a sponsored walk and are prayerfully asking you to sponsor a child $1 for every kilometer walked ,the planned walk will be 10 kilometers and will hopefully take place before the end of the school year on the 4th December and all monies will go to the kitchen building project .The school has about 500 pupils and we feel this is a meaningful way of impacting the lives of the children now and in the future  ,the parents ,caregivers of these children live below the poverty line and have little or no means to contribute themselves

Is this in my job description ?

Bonginkoshi came to work for us in 2013  as our gardener but over the years his job has evolved into many other areas such as translating We were doing our weekly Bible study at Khomba  on "the armor God " and he volunteered to wear the armor to do some role playing !It was received well by the members of the group ,but I am not sure if it was an award winning performance or not ,it was fun and received a round of applause .We appreciate his efforts to go the extra mile to Sew the Seed

Children attending Bible Sudy at Khomba

                  . -
Sometimes we like to change things around a little, at the Bible Studies ,Bonginkhosi translator) asked Ian to give  a message at Khomba which he previously shared at another settlement, it was on the Sermon on the Mount Matthew 5/6
What a great afternoon we had the children leading the adults in praise and worship ,lots of testimony even from the children ,lot of people prayed for and even the children brought Bibles and notebooks .
How blessed  and encouraged we are to be a small part of  the Lords work here in Swaziland

LomaLungelo

LomoLungelo was so sick and malnourished when we first met her. We were so worried about her and wondered if we might lose her.

Your generous support allowed us to provide the food and medical care for LomaLungelo to give her another chance at life. Thank you!
Look at her now. She is dancing and talking and running around. We are so thankful to see God's healing hand in LomaLungelo's little life. Thank you for your continued support.

Vusile: 2010 and 2015

Remember little Vusile? This picture was taken when we first meet Vusile in 2010. He had vision problems, a dislocated shoulder, crooked legs, was severely malnourished, has HIV, was abandoned by his mother, and often neglected by his father. Our hearts went out to Vusile and we started making sure he received the food and care he needs.  We never thought he would talk, walk, or go to school.

His father remarried, and the new wife started taking good care of Vusile.

Look at Vusile now, five years later. His care has dramatically improved as has his health. He won't stop talking, laughs and runs around constantly. He will be going to school. He still has some vision problems, and some physical struggles, but his HIV is being managed well and he is receiving appropriate nutrition.

We are so thankful that God used us to intervene in Vusile's life, and used your generous support, to make a huge difference in the life of this vulnerable child. God cares for each of us just like, He cares for Vusile. We are so excited to see how God has worked in Vusile's life.

An amazing Christmas give-away!

(Warning: lots of pictures of happy kids)
What can we say?  God is Amazing! Over 220 children heard the Christmas message, sang songs, danced, played games, received gifts, goodies and had a lot of fun at our Christmas give away.

There was enough donated that we were able to bless three communities Mgldzangcunu, Section 19 and Khomba, even though we said we were only doing Mgldzangcunu, but God had other plans!
After we had given out all of the gifts, Ncamsile, one of the mothers at Section 19, came to us and said “It is the river of God. It flows from our friends in America, through the Stephens and out into the children and we must not stop the river from flowing. You can see it in the children’s faces as they received their gifts and opened them.”

We want to thank you for opening your hearts to provide gifts for over 220 children. Your generous donations put really big smiles on the faces of so many destitute children. We hope you enjoy the pictures, which say more than the words we can express.
