We've been so blessed by God's abundant provision for all we need especially the last several years. Any time we bring a need before you (either a personal need such as when we had the accident or a community need- Bibles or food parcels etc.), God is so faithful to provide for it and often uses you to do so. I wrote this up from what we have experienced and hope that you can experience this in your own life as well. Ian
ALL WE NEED
PHILIPPIANS 4:19
One of the most incredible promises in the Bible is found in
Philippians 4:19
“And my GOD will meet all your needs according to His
glorious riches in Christ Jesus. Paul had been writing about the financial
generosity of the believers in Philippi. The people were renowned for their
giving and GOD in turn was promising to show them generosity.
Every phrase in the sentence is weighted with meaning.
MY GOD: This
is a promise based on a personal relationship with GOD. When we accept Jesus
into our lives GOD welcomes us into His spiritual family. He is our caring
Father and we are His beloved children. He watches over us and provides us
every good gift.
WILL MEET: GOD is the source of supply for meeting all
our needs, whether they are material, emotional, physical, spiritual, financial
or any other. He may use other people to help, but ultimately everything comes
from Him.
ALL YOUR NEEDS:
We don’t always get everything we want and sometimes fail to receive the
things we think we need. It’s easy for us to confuse wants and needs and to
insist that we desperately need something when in reality we only want it. GOD
promises to do what is best for us and that promise includes meeting all our
needs.
ACCORDING TO HIS GLORIOUS RICHES: Just how rich is GOD? Think about His
resources. He created everything that exists and that is more than enough to
provide for every person who has given their life to Jesus. GOD’S supply never
runs out, we can bring any and every difficulty to Him and we will always find
grace to help us in our time of need.
IN CHRIST JESUS:
When we turn over our lives to Jesus, we receive every spiritual
blessing in Christ. Because of our position in Jesus we have been credited with
His righteousness in exchange for our sin, GOD willingly blesses us.
What an amazing promise!
